Five decades in textile and pet products.
Orange King is led by Ed de Bever. He stepped into the pet trade at fifteen and is still in it. He worked as an employee until 2005, and became an owner that year. Together with Moni de Bever he acquired Maro Trading Co. B.V. (home-textile brand In The Mood Collection). In 2006 they founded Lex en Max B.V. for pet products. Both companies were later acquired, each deal publicly announced. Since 2024 he runs Orange King as a trade agency in textile and pet products.

Products are developed in collaboration with retailers, led by what works on the shop floor. Two seasonal collections per year, backed by a year-round basics range and in-house design. Production runs through established partners in India, Pakistan, China and Europe, chosen for quality and delivery reliability.

- c. 1975 – 2005In the pet trade from the age of fifteen, these thirty years as an employee.
- 2005Acquired Maro Trading Co. B.V. in Raamsdonksveer (CoC 18080419), together with Moni de Bever. The company already existed, with home-textile brand In The Mood Collection.
- 2006Founded Lex en Max, also together with Moni de Bever. Launched the first dog and cat cushion line at the Dibevo trade fair.
- 2007Lex en Max B.V. separately registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (18089889).
- 2020Maro Trading Co. B.V. and the In The Mood Collection brand acquired by Edelman B.V. (announced July 2020).
- 2024Lex en Max acquired by Johnson Petfoods B.V. (announced May 2024).
